Content Packs
In order to spawn objects in rooms where they aren't usually present, Hollow Knight mods have to use a system called "preloading", where the scenes the objects are taken from are loaded when the game starts, and a copy is made.
In order to add so many enemies, platforms, hazards and more from different areas in Hallownest, Architect has to preload a large number of objects, and as a result less powerful devices may take longer to load the mod or may run slower.
If you don't need to use things from every area in the game, you can toggle specific Content Packs.
A Content Pack is a collection of objects that can be placed into the world using Architect. Most packs contain assets from a specific area, such as the Forgotten Crossroads or the Crystal Peak.

In the settings for Architect, you can disable any areas you don't need, preventing these assets from being preloaded in the future.
To apply these changes, the game must be closed and reopened.
Please note that if you try to load edits containing objects from a disabled content pack, the disabled objects will not be placed down in the world.
