Sharing Levels
Online Level Sharer
Architect has a built-in level sharer, which you can use to upload your levels for others to download and play!
Opening the menu
To access the level sharer menu, press the "Online Levels" button at the top right corner of the main menu, and you'll be taken to the taken to the level sharer screen.
To go back, simply press the button again.

Searching for Levels
This is what the level sharer menu itself looks like - to search for levels you can enter words appearing in the name or description of the level, or you can specify the creator's username.
Once you have entered the details of a level, click "Search", then use the arrows either side to scroll through the results.
Pressing "Download" will download a level.
This will overwrite any edits you currently have, so make sure to keep a backup if you don't want to lose them.

Creating an account
To upload your own levels, you first need to create an account.
Enter a username and password in the bottom left hand corner and press "Sign Up" to make an account.
To log in, do the same thing using the same username and password you used to create your account, and press "Log In".
This will store your access key in the Architect Global Settings, meaning you will not need to log in on the same device again.
Pressing "Log Out" will clear this key, and will require entering your login details again to access your account.
Uploading, Updating and Deleting levels
To upload a level, first enter the level's name and description in the text areas in the bottom right hand corner of the menu, then press "Upload".
To update a level you have uploaded, enter its name and the new description, then press "Upload". This will overwrite the old version of the level with your new version.
To delete a level, enter its name and press "Delete". Deleted levels cannot be recovered, so be careful when removing any levels you have uploaded.
Rules
To use the level sharer, you must abide by the following rules:
You must not attempt to impersonate any group or user you do not have permission to represent.
Levels must not contain any inappropriate or NSFW content.
Attempting to artificially inflate your download count through means such as automated scripts is not allowed.
Failure to comply with any of these rules will result in your level being removed.
Private Level Sharing
Sharing the raw level files
Whilst the in-game level sharer is a convenient system for sharing your levels with the world, you may instead prefer to privately share the level with a specific group of people.
To do this, you can find the json files that store your edits in the Architect folder, located in the same folder as your save data. This folder's location can differ depending on your device:
Windows: %AppData%..\LocalLow\Team Cherry\Hollow Knight\Architect
Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/unity.Team Cherry.Hollow Knight/Architect
Linux: ~/.config/unity3d/Team Cherry/Hollow Knight/Architect
You can compress and share these json files with a friend who can place them in their own Architect folder to share the level privately.
